Alkagesta said it participated in the II Annual Central Asia Oil & Gas Forum in Tashkent on 15 and 16 October, where discussions focused on regional energy cooperation and supply-chain efficiency. Javid Guliyev, the company’s CIS Regional Trader, represented Alkagesta throughout the two-day event. The company’s account described a gathering of energy industry leaders, policymakers and investors examining changes across Central Asian energy markets.
According to Alkagesta, the forum’s 2026 programme addressed the region’s oil and gas reserves alongside strategies for production. Cross-border trading routes and logistics infrastructure were also on the agenda, placing the movement of energy supplies between markets among the subjects under discussion. The company presented the event against a backdrop of changing logistics arrangements and regulation, as well as Central Asia’s growing contribution to global energy security.
Refining capacity and access to markets formed another part of the programme, alongside investment and risk management. Sessions also covered the development of public-private partnerships across Central Asia. Taken together, the listed topics extended from the region’s resource base and production plans to the infrastructure, trading arrangements and investment questions involved in supplying energy markets. Alkagesta said securing regional cooperation and improving supply chains were central themes.
The company linked the forum’s relevance to shifting trade corridors and Central Asia’s expanding position in global supply chains. In its account, the gathering offered participants a setting to discuss both opportunities and challenges associated with the region’s next stage of development. Alkagesta described its attendance as reflecting Central Asia’s strategic importance to its wider regional operations. It said it maintains an active presence across CIS markets and operates a petroleum-products trading platform spanning approximately 48 countries, providing the broader commercial context for its participation in the Tashkent discussions.
